A NEW COMPULSION

During a period of 45 years, I have been buying accumulating a collection of about 5000 books.
Their total value might be around 250,000 Ringgit now.
I have been forced into a situation of doing a new thinking about these books.
There are many books which are not in print. There many rare books of antique value. And there are also books belonging to selective categories.
Some years ago, I tried to compile them and prepare an index. But could not because the people who promised to do the job, did not turn up.
There are some reasons why I collected these books.
But my aims and dreams have been shattered by some local and foreign scoundrels.
Age and health are there.
These books occupy a lot of space in my house. The walls are full of shelves. And still, I cannot find enough space to keep them. I have to place
them on the stairway and corridors.
A lot of the books are being damaged. Some books have been damaged
by rats. Monsoon rain with a lot of humidity also cause damage.
I have already spent 3000 Ringgit for Anti-termite treatment. And lately
700 Ringgit for destroying the rats.
So I have to sell the books.
Those who take over the house after us cannot have the house with so much clutter of books.
It is also not fair to load people with such a voluminous collection.
Hence I have to SELL the books.

Dont give me any other ideas.
